A Day Out~

I'm turning sixteen next Tuesday and if you know my family we are doing something big in honor of how I've grown in God and maturity. For my sixteenth birthday we are doing a pass into womanhood banquet with classical music, formal dress, and yummy gourmet food! So there were a couple things needed for this great day..such as gloves and a hair piece. So where is the best place for gloves? a vintage store, of course. :) So me and my aunt and cousins, who are also homeschooled, went off to a cute little street with cute little stores, called Carytown.

On the way, we watched "Return of the Daughters" in my cousins van. That movie is a big encourgment to me!

When we got to Carytown...I couldn't remember the name of my favorite vintage store. So we decided to walk around and look to see if we could find it. Well we ended up stopping in a different vintage shop.

Hannah...really would of liked to have this hat to go with a dress she has but, she did not end up getting it. Isn't it pretty?

We found my favorite vintage store! Which by the way it's called Bygones. It has the prettiest things.

We found the gloves...they are a lot prettier in person. :)

My cousin Jack decided to try on a hat. he quoted "This picture looks just how they looked in the oldin' days"

My little cousin Joseph put another hat on, a flat cap, well he loves the movie "The Greatest Game Ever Played" (Its a good movie, about a boy becoming an amazing golfer!) So he was so excited he got to wear a hat like Frances (the main character). He said "Mommy, Mommy! Look I wearing Frances's hat!" He was so proud and happy about that hat. Joseph LOVE's old movies, well the classics. Like "Pride and Prejudice" which he calls Mr. Darcy and "The Greatest Game Ever Played" which he calls Frances and a couple more. Unfortunately I was not able to get a picture of him in the hat but here is a picture of Frances.

So that was carytown..then we got lunch at a pizza place. Which was yummy!

After that we took a drive through the country and stopped at a civil war battle field. Which was fun. Then we came back and me and my cousin Hannah washed the dishes and vacuumed. Then me and my cousin went with my dad to go look at cars and then went out for some tasty BBQ. Then we decided to go to an ice skating rink to just see what was going on. :) An then we went back to Hannah's house to play the wii which I never do...This was a every couple months thing for me. Well we played a couple rounds of a mini golf game an then me and my dad went back to where we were staying...

Adventures at Midnight~

Well, we went to unlock the door at my Aunt and Uncle's and well the dead bolt was locked, my dad does not have a key for that one, so then we decided to call my aunt and uncle who we were staying with. Well that didn't work so.... we decide to call my other Aunt and Uncle which are the parent's to the cousins I told you about. Me and dad thought we would run up to a gas station to get a drink of water and to take a bathroom break..it is now 2:00 am still no one is answering the phone. So we go back over to my other Aunt and Uncle's and we knocked on the door.."banged" on the windows. Well they answered the door and we were able to get some sleep and not sleep in a hotel room!
