A Post on Friendship

Meet my friend Stephanie, she is silly, wise, and always there! The other day I had the pleasure of going out to coffee with her, our conversation was filled memories and testimonies of our trip to Mexico, and of the many different things God has been doing in our lives. Steph is one of my few friends that I can talk to about anything, and who will laugh with me or at me.. ;) And who will give me wise advice, and lead me in seeking God in every situation.
Friends, are important. We need people in our life to share the joys and downfalls of every season of our lives. We need that helping hand and encouragement! I know for me if it wasn't for friends that lended a hand when I needed one, I don't know where I'd be. God puts these special types of relationships in our lives, to help us bear forth, to see the better and not the worst! In Ecclesiastes it says:

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 NIV
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work; If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!

Friends are one of the most greatest investments of our lives....

Here is one of my favorite quotes on friendship:

In friendship…we think we have chosen our peers. In reality a few years’ difference in the dates of our births, a few more miles between certain houses, the choice of one university instead of another…the accident of a topic being raised or not raised at a first meeting–any of these chances might have kept us apart. But, for a Christian, there are, strictly speaking no chances. A secret master of ceremonies has been at work. Christ, who said to the disciples, “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you,” can truly say to every group of Christian friends, “Ye have not chosen one another but I have chosen you for one another.” The friendship is not a reward for our discriminating and good taste in finding one another out. It is the instrument by which God reveals to each of us the beauties of others.”

C.S. Lewis
